Antarctica Peninsula and South Shetland Islands

Antarctica is the ultimate destination for explorers and adventurers. It is home to amazing icebergs and glaciers, as well as a diverse wildlife of penguins, seals, orcas, whales and birds. Aboard Wega, you will cruise Antarctica in a fashion never dreamed by its historical explorers. You will have privacy and comfort not comparable to any cruise liners or russian tugboats currently touring the White Continent.

Destinations in the peninsula may include King George Island, Penguin Island, Paradise Bay, Deception Island, Lemmaire Channel or exploration onshore to the Antarctica mainland. Daily routes are planned according to weather conditions and wildlife watching opportunities.

Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego (Patagonia)

Ushuaia is the capital of the Province of Tierra del Fuego. While Tierra del Fuego is called the Land of the End of the World, Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world.

Tierra del Fuego is located south of the Magellan Strait. Ushuaia stays on the shores of the Beagle Channel and is base to lots of explorations to the Antarctica Continent or to Patagonia.

Tierra del Fuego offers amazing landscapes with rivers, mountains and exuberant vegetation. You can enjoy the amazing scenery, navigating the Beagle Channel and Cape Horn, or try activities onshore like trekking, horse riding, biking, and fishing.

Peninsula de Valdez (Patagonia)

The Valdez Peninsula is a place for travelers who love nature in its untouched quietness. It is a sanctuary, full of wildlife. It is home to diverse marine species such as franca whales, orcas, dolphins, elephant seals, Magellan penguins, as well as earthly fauna such as guanacos, rheas, herons, skunks, gray and red foxes, to name a few.

The base port for the Valdez Peninsula exploration is Puerto Madryn. It is internationally known to offer excellent quality service and gastronomy to its visitors. On shore, you will find very natural and preserved beaches and countryside. Activities can vary from wildlife watching, to horse riding, biking, trekking, diving, fishing, kayaking and much more.

Falklands/Malvinas Islands

Falklands Islands are one of the greatest places on earth for wilderness life. It is a land of vast spaces without the touch of man. You will be instantly captivated for the beauty of its coastlines, cliffs and sand beaches, as well as for the hospitality and unique lifestyle of its islanders.

Falklands is a great place for wildlife watch. It is home to many species that find on its lands a secure port between Antarctica and South America. In places like Cape Bouganville, or Seals Bay, you will find millions of seabirds which breed in the Falklands, including the black-browed albatross, giant petrels and five kinds of penguin, as well as many elephant seals and sea lions. Other activities may include diving, horse riding and 4WD rides.
